This morning when I put Bronwyn's simple cotton-knit dress on her, she wasn't very pleased with me. (To be honest, she cried and cried and cried.) I don't think she considered this particuar dress quite pretty enough since it lacks poof and frills and flowers. Yet when it came time to get her pajamas on tonight, she was very distraught about removing the "very pretty dress."
While I can't be sure exactly what caused this change of heart regarding the dress, I have a very strong suspicion it may have had something to do with the numerous comments she received throughout the day telling her how nice/cute/pretty she looked.
She is a girl, after all.
Pretty girls in pretty dresses...there's something so simply wonderful in that! I'm sure she looked like a little beauty. (How could she not?)
ReplyDeletelol i understand how she feels sometimes=) oh yeah- about the wedding. it's still really awkward because the bride thinks that i will be able to have enough bottles for kai?!?!? i will plan on having enough to get him through the wedding and pics? but yeah she is calling again i think today and i am going to try to explain the situation to her a little better.
ReplyDeleteOhh...I remember those days in my pretty dresses.
ReplyDeleteGrilling season doesn't change our grocery budget too much. I've not been able to convince the rest of my family that meatless meals can be good. Most nights, either winter or summer, we eat some sort of meat. In summer I exchange roasts for cheaper cuts of steak that we marinade and cook slowly on the grill. We still buy whole chickens and Josh cooks them on his cookset in a cast-iron dutch oven. And ground beef, boneless chicken and hot dogs are weekly staples. When they are on sale we stock up. Obviously this is not an area where we've cut corners...
ReplyDeleteHey there. I've been pretty busy recently so I haven't been able to email. How are you? How is bedrest going? We're doing well here. We're still trying to figure out this food thing with Maygen. I have another apt Wed.
ReplyDeleteTim and I are in the process of trying to get our yard together. Flowers, grass seed, etc. We're also going to buy a swing set for the backyard. Erin and Maygen will love it. Any flower tips? I posted to your mom too b/c I know she has those beautiful gardens. Any websites you know of?
I have to put Maygen down for her nap. Miss you:) I'll email soon!
Hey, is Danica moving? I thought I saw that on Mrs. Kinnen's page.
I love being a girl. :)
ReplyDeleteShe was very pretty, and I believe some of that change was due to her Daddy showing her off and having her twirl for people. She was absolutely 100% adorable!
