Decking the Halls

I never did post pictures of our trimmed tree Monday night like I'd planned.

That's because our tree wasn't up and trimmed Monday night like planned. But that's OK. It's up now.

think that's Nana in Papa's coat...)

Gabriel was too busy playing to take much notice of the tree

Fast-forward 24 hours to decorating:

The tree is in our dining room again this year (it's too big to go any of the other places I had considered-- but that's a whole 'nother story of its own!), which works well since the dining room is the central room in our house. And it is wonderful to eat our dinner by its light.

Oh, I do love a beautiful Christmas tree!

  2. Ooooohhh. So beautiful. I mean, the tree is beautiful, but I was more speaking of the little people in the pictures. I love them. So much. Hope I get some time over the holiday to stop in and see them as well. My only down time is long after they are in bed. :(  Why do I work again? j/k Love you lots.

  6. I love our tree, too. I love everything about it. And isn't it cute how into decorating the kids get? Will took two days to get all his ornaments properly placed. :)

  7. Very nice! I am amazed that people still go out and find a tree (a real one that is). I just feel safer and less messy (from needles falling off since I like mine up until after Valentines Day sometime) with our fake one. But good for you all with all that! That is great. Have fun and enjoy the decor of this awesome season! I know I am. We can see our tree from our table too. But our house is so small that you can see the tree from just about every room. hehe.AnDi

  8. Beautiful!  I love family pictures.   Especially family pictures with lots of little kids.  Of course I'm partial that way, aren't I?

  9. Beautiful tree!!  I just made rum logs with your mom's recipe that are milk and egg free.  I subbed butter-flavored Crisco and rice milk for the cow's milk products.  Granted, I'm partial but I think they are fantastic!  Just wanted to let you know it works.
