Three children are drifting to sleep as I sit here in the rocker. My children. This is still amazing to me.

I have a little boy who is extremely gifted. I have a daughter who is vibrant. I have a baby who is soft in every way a person can be.

I love them so.

  3. Children really are amazing. For me, it somehow is easier to realize this when they are peacefully sleeping, though. Hopefully, one day (and soon), I will be able to realize this when they are not-so-peacefully trying my patience. I think I just need a broader perspective in those moments.

  4. This morning my oldest took out the phone book, looked up the number to the Potsdan Public Library, and called to renew his history book. I stood before him and sobbed. Of course he looked confused and scared and when he hung up the phone he asked, "What's wrong!?" I couln't really explain how it hurt and shocked me to see this all taking place before my own eyes, so I just said "nothing." Where did that time go?
Did you get your hair cut?

  5. Hey,
yeah....Marcie kind of yelled at me for updating. It really is a good idea, i'm just kind of non-committal about it.
Yeeeah Bob Santos..haha. BASIC. actually I go there prettttyyy consistently. I have a friend from back home, Mindy. She pretty much dragged me to BASIC as quickly as she could. I'm actually signed up for the Syracuse concert at this point. So i'll probably even see you guys soon. When I saw Dan's photo in the conference brochure, everything began to come together...aaah.
So but how is life in general? Currently it is snowing very lightly..I know it is probably minimal compared to new york. aauugh. why does snow ever have to come? :(
anyway. I gotta get going, I have to get back to school today ..there is a lot I need to accomplish before that point though. So it was good hearing from yoou..and yeah i'll probably see you guys on the 3rd!:)

  6. I was going to comment on your comment but then got distracted by this post and cant remember what I was going to say! lol!
This got me thinking about how we (myself included) take for granted the ability to have children.  They are little for such a short time and each second (not minute) must be treasured and stored away.  I think that is why God told us about "Mary pondering all these things in her heart" (paraphrase) -we need to be reminded.

  7. Why thank you for the prayers. I will need them so I to don't get it. Such a crazy thing it seems to be that pink eye. Poor Hayla had no idea what was happening this morning when her eyes were totally stuck shut. I ran her to the bathroom and put a warm wash cloth on them.Oh by the way she has it in both eyes now, yay.
