Must Read

Danica linked to this today. While I have certainly not been a fan of Obama, I was shocked.

Please take some time to read it. Be informed about what may be at stake in the upcoming presidential election.

  1. I'm so disappointed in this year's crop of candidates.  Not only are the Democrats the most liberal and radical but the Republican is also quite liberal.  This article is frightening.  Simply frightening.  To think that there's a good chance he'll be our president makes me shutter.

  2. Yea, he really makes me uneasy. I don't know who to vote for. I don't even know what to pray except, "Thy will be done." Ya know?

  3. Hopefully we'll be raptured before the election, right?  It would be nice.  Back when Hillary was doing better with her campaign I told Chris that if she became president that before she could take the oath, Jesus would return and would say, "I'll take it from here!"

  4. That is scary.  It's hard to just pray and trust that God is still in control while seeing what a poor (at best) choice we have for president, but I guess that's part of what faith is about.  It is amazing to me, too, that we will probably never hear about Obama's extreme positions from any mainstream media.  And there are so many people who vote democratic because of the economy and never consider the moral or social implications (I think particularly of my born-again grandfather).  It really is disheartening.

  5. The coldness of the heart of someone who could say such a thing makes me sick to my stomach.

  6. Thanks for linking this. I rarely go to Danica's actual site, I just read feeds, so I would have missed it.

  7. Thanks.  I hear he is very charismatic....at least with Hillary she is out for herself and it is obvious....but Obama really wants to change things, every time someone says they are for "change", be very afraid....
Kind of like in ancient Rome, the father was allowed to kill his child and if he didn't like or want it when it was born, they could leave it die of exposure in a public place.  No one was supposed to rescue it.  We are in a culture of death right now.  I saw baby shirts with skull and crossbones on them.  That's popular right now, but on infants?  Look at the current tv shows, all about witchcraft, blood and gore, promiscuity, adultery.  I continue to be shocked at what people think is good for general viewing...even Christians are watching this stuff because "there's nothing else on".

  8. @Newshoundfortruth - The only part of me that regrets Hillary falling behind in the presidential race is that I think fewer Christians would vote for Hillary than will for Obama.  I think Obama is a bit more deceitful and comes across as a really nice guy or something, when the truth is that he wants to overhaul our nation in very ungodly ways. The way our culture values life (or devalues, rather) is scary. This is our chance as Christians to shine more brightly, though. We have to treasure all life-- unborn, helpless, elderly, handicapped-- and demonstrate to the world that anyone God creates is worth loving and caring for.

  9. @brietta - a couple links if you want... Born again Christians can NOT believe he is Christian...they really need to research.

http://www.tucc.org/store/index.cfm?action=moreinfo&pid=4499  evidence of support for Farakan " Featured Articles: Empowerment: The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan"  The Trumpet is their official magazine...it used to be online and I read this article before.  Calling a church Christian doesn't make it Christian...it seems pretty much universalist now...the church came from congregationalist background.  You can say you believe in Jesus as savior, but the actions are what count...This is the church he belongs to.

    This is the national body...

I'm all for inviting gays/lesbians to church....but we don't condone the sin...this church doesn't believe it is a sin.   Funny the church bulletin from this week from Obama's church is all about Jeremiah and how God knew him before he was born and in his mother's womb...what if he was aborted?  They wouldn't have that book to read from.  Where is the universalism here, doesn't God know all of us before we were born?  What gives us the right to terminate that life?  Our own judgement?

Ok....no more time for politics today...but if anyone needs research, I can find it quickly...
