For President?
I've not really gotten into politics here and I really have no intention of getting into them now (there are several reasons for this, chiefest being that I just don't think I'm smart or articulate enough), but when I read this I thought it worth sharing with any who might be interested:
There's lots on there about Huckabee and homeschooling. I haven't read it all enough to know for sure what all's going on there. But I haven't read much about Huckabee on schooling and maybe you haven't either, so I thought I should pass it along.
OK. That's it.

I agree. But my reason for not wanting to delve deep into this whole politics thing is that I hate a one-sided story. It seems that we never really have access to enough info. to make truly informed decisions.
ReplyDeleteBut, like you, I have also been curious and doing a little reading.
I enjoyed this article and after reading it, I could only think...NYS must be the most highly regulated state in the whole country!

Thanks!
P.S. Avery is doing 95% better. Eric even took him to work with him- that made his day!
I saw him on Glenn Beck and really liked what he said but had not looked into his history etc. Then I read another thing saying he was not good for homeschoolers. That confused me because I had also read homeschoolers were working for him. But I had come across the NEA support. I thought at first he was my man...but not so sure at this time. There's this neat thing that you can answer questions on to see which candidate you agree with most and he did not come out on the top for me. But Fred Thompson and Ron Paul did....but I am too much in disagreement with Ron Paul on the war and his style of globalism unfortunately....I used to really like him because of his constitutional stance....but he is appearing contradictory in places too now....I guess there is no perfect candidate. You weren't born yet, but Carter campaigned on being a Christian too....he does lots of good things but he is more of a universalist. He messed up the country big time...I do believe Huckabee is a Christian...and if he won the nomination I would vote for him. I really don't know who is best, but the government has done nothing to improve education, Carter started the dept of Education and it's only gotten worse since then. If Huckabee is anti-homeschooling I would not support him. Thanks so much for the link, that person seems to be a good researcher. I'll have to look into it more. I'm thinking we'll have to pay attention and I tell Matthew he will too, because he will be voting in this election.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised at the hslda......like I said I've got to read this more.
Doug has told me some other stuff he heard, so I would have deleted that last post if I could....I really am not that informed yet myself so I should keep quiet for now!
ReplyDeleteI have been really into politics lately. I think it has something to do with my gut feeling about the outcome of this election, regardless of who wins. Thanks for posting that link. I found it to be very informative.
ReplyDeleteHow is Miss Aubrey doing and how are you and Daniel?
