It takes 12+ hours to drive approximately 525 miles when sharing a vehicle with my children.

In case you were wondering.

More tomorrow.

  1. I was wondering how you were doing (and praying for a quick and "event-less" drive back home!).   When we last tried traveling to D's mom (Rochester), it took us 5+ hours to make a trip that should have taken less than 4....  SO much fun traveling with little ones!!!  *rolleyes*

  3. Oh, but those are 12+ memorable hours, in many ways! ;)

So glad to know your little yellow house is once again full! And glad you had a good time, too.

  4. Oh yeah, do I know!  Something so simple as going to the bathroom suddenly becomes an event so complex one should be trained using a power-point presentation and a bulleted 8-point plan of attack.  And that's just for potty trained children and parents.  Then you have the diaper changes, the snacks, the boredom, the carseats, the music, the fussing, whining, crying, fighting, thousands of questions resonating from the back seat... Oh, like you're mom said in her comment- memorable hours!  And always worth the drive!

  5. It took us 14 hours to get to Tennessee with Seth. I guess that he is just a good rider. It also helps to leave at night so that he sleeps most of the time. Glad you are back!
