Here in PA

We made it Friday night around midnight, even in spite of running into some snow in Syracuse and then quite a bit just after crossing the Pennsylvania border. The kids traveled amazingly well and I think we would have made the trip in less time if it hadn't been for the storms.

Since getting here, we've been able to visit with lots of people we hold very dear. Grandma and Pap-Pap, of course. Also Uncle Larry, Aunt Em, and their boys, church friends yesterday morning, and various friends and extended family members who came over yesterday for a little open house. Today the kids and I spent the day at Michelle's house, where we were joined by Stacie and Sarah and their kids (yes, there were 13 kids 6 and under, not including the baby girl due in February), while Daniel met the corresponding husbands for lunch downtown.

This visit has been a great time to catch up with everyone. I'm really glad we have quite a few more days, because I feel like we've barely scratched the surface!

  1. It sounds nice Brietta! Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you don't mind me coming by for a cloth diapering question or two?:)   When you get some time I'd love to hear how you rinse them off and not get yourself too messy? I think you mentioned that before. Secondly, having 2 in diapers has been proving that the folds aren't a favorite and we would like to improve our ease. Which brands have you found helpful. Jeremy says, "improve!" so I'm looking to be frugal yet wise in choices.. (aren't we all?)

  2. Have a wonderful time!  We're on the road ourselves visiting family in the Oneonta area.  It's so good to eat together, laugh together, play games together, and just be together.  We're loving it.
P.S.  Our cabinet order that was due to come in around Dec. 7th got screwed up by the guy at Lowes and now won't be coming in until Christmas.  MAJOR bummer, BUT the manager of the store said that he would give us a discount and a really good deal on a counter top and dishwasher, sooooo... we'll see =)  Maybe this delay is a blessing after all!
